Our Founder's Story
The Journey to Oneself
I often say I was not the one that found yoga, but yoga was the one that found me. I was lucky to have my first encounter with yoga at the young age of eighteen. Although my first yoga class did not change my life or my view of the world, I left feeling invigorated and joyful. I was not a happy teenager, and I was still about 4 years away from taking my first steps toward making yoga a substantial part of my life.

In early 2015, I found myself suffering from severe back pain to the point that I needed to take medical leave for bed rest. That was the time yoga found me again, and healed me physically through the recovery. With consistent daily practice, the back pain has never come back to me for years. While I was amazed by the physical healing power that yoga brought, I also started to find myself becoming a more forgiving, loving and patient person. It was the love for yoga that gave me the motivation to travel to the foothills of the Himalayas, Rishikesh in India alone to complete a one month residential RYT 200 Hours yoga teacher training.

I am grateful to yoga and to all the teachers I had the privilege to meet and learn from. After returning from an authentic yogic experience in India, I continue to explore and grow not only as a teacher but also as a life long student. I facilitate strong and fluid Vinyasa classes that are playful and creative as well as hatha classes that focus on alignment and body’s natural intelligence. I also enjoy guiding yin classes for subtle and quiet introspection of practitioners. However, I find the greatest joy in guiding women during pregnancy through prenatal yoga classes, as well as after birth through postpartum yoga classes.

On 25 Aug 2021, my life is forever changed when I gave birth to my daughter and became a mother. Through the rite passage to motherhood, I was awakened and found the new profound purpose of life. Since then, my mission has been to serve others. I am hoping to give back to the underprivileged community through my yoga offerings. Come and help me to drive change by signing up a class with me and supporting my cause. You will leave feeling refreshed, balanced and more connected to yourself.
